Hope L. Huntsinger
is the recipient of the first
GySgt Christopher W. Eckard Scholarship
A 2018 Summa Cum Laude honor graduate of St. Stephens High School, Hope will attend Western Carolina University majoring in Emergency Medical Care with a minor in Spanish in the fall of 2018. Upon her graduation with a Bachelor of Science in Emergency Medical Care as well as a paramedic license, she plans to pursue her Physician Assistant certification. Hope states "When I achieve this license, I plan to either work as a Physician Assistant in the Emergency Room at a local hospital, or to move abroad to become a medical missionary in a Spanish speaking country. It has always been a dream of mine to travel, but also to further the Gospel to all the world through medical missions."
